Meet The Team

Ryan
As a father of two, my perspective on football has shifted profoundly. Once a player, I now view the game through the lens of a mentor. My son’s involvement in academy setups and playing abroad has opened my eyes to the vital role of mental wellbeing, guidance, and support within the sport.
Football is more than just technical and physical development; it’s a platform for character building. As mentors, our responsibility extends beyond improving players on the pitch. We guide them in problem-solving, resilience, and learning essential life skills that will benefit them long after their playing days are over.
This journey has taught me that success isn’t only measured by goals scored or matches won but by the growth of individuals into confident, adaptable, and compassionate people. Football, for me, is now a tool for fostering lifelong personal development and building stronger, well-rounded individuals.

Jack
I have been involved in that game of football since a young age, both as a player and now a coach/mentor. I was lucky enough to play professionally abroad providing a great experience and perspective and have an enormous passion for giving young people and aspiring footballers the guidance and tools to develop.
Not only prioritizing technical skill, athleticism and tactical intelligence, but understanding the importance in building an identity as a person, having a clear vision and path for yourself, dealing with adversity and growing confidence.

Hi, my name is Matthew.
Football and media have always been a huge part of my life, and I feel lucky to have built a career around the two things I love most. After earning a degree in Sports Journalism, I started my journey at an EFL football club, working in their media department. It was an amazing experience to be so close to the action and share the stories behind the game. I’ve also had the incredible opportunity to work for the world’s biggest sports media company, creating content for their popular radio stations, and as a picture editor for a major national newspaper, where I sharpened my skills in telling stories through images.
Now, with For The Players Performance Centre, I’ve been filming and editing football drills and skills to help bring the app to life. I’m excited about the future here and hope you enjoy using the app as much as I’ve enjoyed helping create it!
